Vritti ("the App") is a breathing practice and pranayama application developed by Iaroslav Bezruchko ("I", "we", "us"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding your data.
Vritti is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect personal information on external servers unless you explicitly choose a network feature such as sending feedback or sharing a practice by link. Specifically:
Your app data is stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to send feedback or share a practice by link. Local data includes:
This data is stored using on-device storage and is not accessible to us or any third party unless you explicitly upload a practice to create a share link or submit feedback. If you delete the App, local data is permanently removed from your device.
With your explicit permission, Vritti can write mindful minutes to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). This data is written directly to your device's health platform and is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policies. We do not read or access any health data beyond writing session duration after a completed practice.
The App makes network requests for recommended trainings, optional practice sharing, and optional feedback.
When checking our servers for an updated recommended trainings catalog, the request:
When you choose to share a practice by link, the App uploads the selected practice or practice set to our server and receives an unlisted public link. Anyone with that link can view the share page and import the practice into Vritti. Shared practice links are intended to remain available permanently unless you request removal or we need to remove them for abuse, security, or operational reasons. Do not share practices that contain information you do not want link recipients to access.
When you choose to send feedback from the App or from the feedback form on this website, the message you type, an optional reply email if you provide one, and minimal technical context are uploaded. Depending on where you send it from, that context can include app version or page origin, platform, operating system or browser details, language, and theme. Feedback is used only to respond to you if requested, improve the App, diagnose issues, and prevent abuse. The feedback endpoint relays the message to us through configured email and/or private messaging delivery services, then discards it; Vritti does not keep server-side feedback message records. Delivered copies are retained according to the receiving mailbox or private chat's retention settings.
For abuse prevention and rate limiting, our feedback and practice-sharing endpoints temporarily process the network address associated with a request. The raw address is not stored by Vritti. The server stores salted, one-way rate-limit hashes and counters for up to three days.
Vritti is free. The App contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, does not process payments, and we do not receive or store any payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses.
Vritti may send local notifications to remind you of scheduled practice sessions. Reminder content and schedules are stored on your device. On Android, the notification library also includes Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Firebase Installations components. Google may automatically generate and collect a per-installation Firebase Installation ID together with app and SDK version information. Vritti does not use this identifier for analytics, advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking. You can disable notification alerts at any time through your device settings.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Children should not include personal information in feedback messages.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or social media SDKs. The only third-party interactions are:
Most user-generated content remains on your device, protected by your device's built-in security mechanisms (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, encryption). Network features use HTTPS. Shared-practice storage is kept outside the public web root. Feedback submissions are rate-limited to reduce spam and abuse, and feedback message text is not stored as a server-side record.
Most data created by the App is stored on your device and is under your full control. You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App. To request removal of a shared practice, send its full share link or 32-character share ID through the privacy contact form below. If you submit feedback, Vritti does not keep a server-side feedback record to delete after delivery; delivered message retention is governed by the receiving mailbox or private chat. Data processed by Google services is also subject to Google's privacy and retention practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or need help with the app, visit our support page or use the feedback form below. If you can open the app, you can also use the in-app feedback form.
Use this form for data handling questions, accountless privacy concerns, or anything related to how Vritti stores information on-device and handles optional network features.
Thank you. Your privacy question is on its way through the same feedback channel used in the app, so it will be reviewed together with the rest of incoming Vritti feedback.
